I smiled when he said his name
The kindness in his tone
The gentleness in his manner
The care in his thoughts
All this I heard in his voice
We talked the time flew by
How I wished I could be by his side
To see his face just one more time
He knows my struggles and my sees my faults
He looks passed them without a thought
He will always be my friend to the end
